The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
